How to photograph your Chrome Hearts collection
A practical shot list for your personal archive: the whole piece, small details and how it fits.
Journal editors ·
Start with the whole piece
Photograph the front and back in soft daylight against a quiet background. Keep the entire object in the frame. Avoid filters that alter the colour or hide the texture. One clear overall view gives the detail shots their context.
Get closer
For jewellery, show the side, inside surface and any markings. For clothing, include the print, seams, labels and hardware. Wear, repairs and small imperfections are part of the story. A detail shot should add information rather than replace the overall view.
Show scale and fit
An outfit or a ring on a hand can explain proportion better than a product shot. For measurements, keep a ruler in the same plane as the object. Leave addresses, document numbers and other people’s faces out of the frame unless you have permission.
Add what you know
Share the model name if known, size and personal observations about the fit. If you are unsure of the model, describe the visible details. You can submit up to six of your own photos. A photograph or a published post is not proof of authenticity.
