FIELD NOTE ·
Use motif tags that describe what is visible
Choose useful search terms for a photo post while keeping model, provenance and authenticity claims separate.
Start with the object
Name the visible object type first: ring, pendant, chain, eyewear or garment. Add colour, material as described by the owner, and the detail the photograph actually shows. Distinguish an observed motif from a confirmed model name. A cross or floral form can appear across different objects; its presence alone does not identify a release or establish a maker.
Prefer a few precise terms
Tags work best when they help someone find a relevant photograph. Avoid adding every city, celebrity or unrelated brand to a post. If a model or collection reference is uncertain, state the uncertainty in the caption instead of promoting it to a categorical tag. Keep a useful description in readable text so a visitor does not need to interpret a wall of keywords.
Keep the evidence attached
Link a public source when discussing a documented reference, and distinguish it from the particular item in your own image. Do not claim that a source verifies your piece. Community photographs, editorial illustrations and source-linked notes serve different purposes and should be labelled accordingly. Publication in this independent journal does not certify authenticity, ownership history, stock or price.
